Hi All,
My cousin has a speech pathology (MSc) degreee from india and is trying for job oppurtunities in US( myself being a s/w i have no clue how this process works), can anyone of you throw some light on what kind of visa is needed, visa process involved, any consultants who can sponsor visa, and what are other things required to get started for this process. Any information is appreceiated.

Dear experts/Attorneys,
Please help me. My EB2 priority date in 21Nov 2007. My I 140 is approved and yet to file for I 485. Now at work I have promotion offer from Sr developer to Team lead. Technologies I work for won't change, but I have to change my work location to different state in this case
do I have to file for PERM and I 140 again?
If I have to file 140 can I retain priority date?
Is there any other option for me to escape PERM refiling other than not accepting promotion :)?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

if you are out of country then why don't open account in ICICI or reliance to do trading .

Hello All,
I received a "Notice of intent to Revoke " on my approved I-140 recently. By gods grace, my company was able to get my I-140 reaffirmed.
The status on the USCIS website states as follows.
".....we mailed a notice to you reaffirming the approval of this case and returned the case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."
We did NOT request for consular processing. Does any one know why USCIS send my case to Department of State?

My I-485 was filed this July. My wife and I got FP notices for Nov 20. But my wife is currently in India and I will be in India too on Nov 20. So we will have to reschedule at least for my wife.
My question is, has anyone who filed their I-485 after July 2 rescheduled their FP appt and got a new appt date? I'm in the San Jose area.

I have my H1 filed in 2008. Due to the market situation, I didn't go for H1 stamping and entered US in March 2009 on H4.
I would like to know the steps/process for H4 -> H1 COS.
I know my employer is the best person to answer this. But, the problem is whenever I ask any details, he always tries to abstract the info.
If there are sequence of steps, after which step one is authorized to work? I tried getting the info online, but couldn't . If any of you can give me a pointer or explain the process in detail, it would be very great and helpful.
As per my employer, I can start working in 2 weeks after he initiates the process. I want to make sure that I don't run into any legal issues. Once the employer has initiated the COS process, is there a way one can track the status and also to verify the status after the completion of the process.
Sorry for too many questions. But, please please do help!!!

Now, I received an admission from a better university for the same term (Spirng 2010) and I wish to join the Second University.
Could you please tell me the procedure to join second university.
1. Can I let the H1-F1 visa transfe (first university) go through and then apply for change of university or something ? If so, can some one outline the procedure for transfer of university (I am worried about the time it takes for the transfer of university for me to join for Spring 2010).
2. Is it possible to change the transfer application with i-20 and appropriate financial documentation ?

My wife has a valid H4 visa and she's currently in India as her company is applying for a fresh H1B visa for her. I'm currently in US on valid H1B visa till 7-Dec-2011.(Her H4 will also expire on the same date)
Qs: After getting the recipt for H1B application, can she travel on her H4 visa or does she have to wait till the approval\rejection of H1B?
Please note that this is not a case of H4 to H1 transfer.

The big news is that the masters cap was hit as of December 24th. I had been predicting since last summer that this 20,000 quota would be hit in the last week of the year and the pace of usage stayed extremely consistent. The general quota has 7,700 visas of 65,000 remaining as of December 31st and the rolling four week average is now running at just over 1500. My I140 has recently approved on Aug,7th but the attorney and employer has already sent the withdraw letter to USCIS to cancel I-140 petition last month in July.But as they sent the cancellation letter to USCIS so is this possible if they sent the letter again to them not to withdraw or cancel I-140As right now I am in Canada,so I request them not to cancel I-140 and plz. do the consular processing for my case as I-140 is approved,so can someone advice me what will be the best thing,any advice will be appreciated.
