Dear forum members,
I have a question regarding transferring my H1b. My scenario is i am on my 7th year of my H1b and it is expiring on Oct 2007. My current employer will be filing an extension of 3 years based on my approved I-140 in the month of June 2007. If everything goes well i will get my three year extension(2007-2010) by Aug 2007.
Question is
1) If i get a new job opportunity after 3 year approval ( start date will be Oct 2007) can i transfer it to my new employer by aug or i have to wait till the start date of H1 approval?
2) When can i start working for the new company?
Any response will be appreciated.

As long as the labor cert. appeal is timely filed you should be able to extend for one more year.

Definitely, we have to meet with all the senators.

Here is my scenario...
1. Applied my first EAD thru some lawyer (hence G-28)
2. I am planning to renew it on "my own"
Can I renew EAD without Attroney help... I know the answer "YES" but the main question is... do I need to inform USCIS saying that I want to withdraw my lawyer's and hence G-28 which was filed along with my first EAD?
If anyone are sucessful, please help me...My question is not on how to self apply EAD..My question is whether we need to inform USCIS about G-28...

There is no expiry date in his I-94. What should I write? Is it like D/S (F1)?
Name and address of present employer (if any) for my husband.

If USCIS update says the data entry is done upto a particular date and you do not get application back in next few days, it means it is atleast accepted and now just the matter of issuing reciept. AM i right?

I was on F1 OPT a few years ago, so things might have changed since then. Please confirm with your International Student office.
We were explicitly told that we cannot do any credit earning courses while on OPT. That it will void our OPT. I'm assuming that these online courses are credit earning. I'd suggest you wait till you get yr H1 papers and move to H1 status.

No, Only a Green Card holder in a Legal Permanment Resident. All other Visa Holder or Pending AOS is not LRP yet, but that should not cause an issue with your loan application. They might ask additional documents to validate you status here, but should be okay.

who will take care of the elderly parents in India? Since you're US citizen, u can apply GC for ur parents also. It's tough to leave ur old parents in India and just worry about a good lifestyle for the brother. None of my business but just a thought.

I need to apply for an extension for 3 more years, i get my first H1B from 10-04-2008 to 08-31 but i'm not sure about the process to extend my H1B, i dont now if i need re-enter in the visa lottery like the first time.
