This month dates are 22 Jan 2005.
Still the reported Jan 2005 approvals(, IV ) etc are less than 5.
Not sure whats happening to these

I am an American citizen. My Chinese wife of 3 years and I will move to St. Louis and buy a home there. She is a businesswoman and must return to China several times per year to take care of a business there. She will be applying for her immigrant visa very soon.

HOW MANY DAYS PER YEAR CAN SHE LEAVE THE US PER YEAR WITHOUT PUTTING HER IMMIGRANT VISA IN JEOPARDY?

Being a US resident is more important that the job, but we would like to do both, if possible.

I apprecite ANY advice formn knowledgeable people, including non-lawyers.

While there are some politicians genuinely concerned about the subject of immigration who are backing anti-immigration laws because they believe in the cause, there are many more who have jumped on the anti-immigration bandwagon to score political points (John McCain - I'm talking to you). I wonder if politicians in small towns that don't have a lot of fat in their budgets are going to re-evaluate the costs and benefits when they have to explain to constituents why they have to pay hefty fees to plaintiffs in lawsuits like this one in a small town in Nebraska. Hi All,

I went for visa interview in December, but my case was stuck because of administrative processing. I came back on Advance parole. I have the following questions.

1. Can I sponsor my parents visitor visa without any issue? Will the consulate quiz them/stop them because of my H-1 admin processing

2. Also is my admin processing still going on? and can I stamp my H-1 visa in the future after my case is cleared from admin processing.

The storyline continues. Last year, 13,500 regular H-1B applications were counted in the first week and 5,600 advanced degree applications. This year 5,900 regular applications were received in the first week and 4,500 advanced degree petitions. USCIS just reported that in the second week of counting, 7,100 regular cases were receipted and 5,100 advanced degree applications. I work for a big company. Each time when I move to a new project, my company ask me to file an LCA and H-1B amendment for new project location. It takes several month to get approval until then you have wait and face all travel restrictions.
I know that several smaller companies don�t file such amendments

Does anyone who why do we have to file such amendment?
What happens if we don�t file this?

I recently got a 3yr extension from my Company(6 yrs completed) since my Labor and I-140 is cleared, My question is can I transfer my H1 to another company, if yes how many yrs of extension I will get and what will be my GC status, can I transfer the priority date to the new company.

My details:

India/EB3/PD:Sep2003/I140 Approved.
I485/EAD/AP: Recevied July 28

I completed FP appointment last week (Wednesday), but LUD has not changed since then.

Also EAD status changed twice (before undergoing FP) it said Card Production Ordered. Today it changed to Approval Notice sent.

Questions:

1. Is there any relation between FP and EAD ? (e.g. Prints appear on EAD etc)
2. Is that the right sequence in change of status:
"Card Production Ordered" followed by "Approval Notice Sent".

My EAD got approved on 08/14/2007 - TSC - (USCIS Site Update) but still I am waiting for the Physical card � does it really take more than
15 days to be delivered..? or should I be concerned..?

Hi All,

Today I received an email from CRIS saying that they have sent me an RFE on my AP application. My wife's AP was approved last week, so it really confuses me about what this could be about? Can anyone shed more light on "probable" causes of I-131 RFE?

I have another question - my passport is expiring in November 2007. Could that be the cause of the AP RFE? I could get that renewed from Indian embassy in 10 days, so its not a problem. But, has anyone heard about cases where expiring passport causes RFEs?

I filed my case in July 2nd(filer) and didn't receive my receipt and then again I file the same application/case on Oct 2007. Finally I got both the receipts.

Hi All,
I have applied I-485,I-765 and I-131(AP) for my wife as derivative when my priority date(March 26th 2006) became current on September 1st.

We recieved the Reciept notices for I-485,I-765 and I-131(AP) for my wife on September 30th.

My I-485 got approved on 11/05 .We didnot recieve FingerPrint notice still.

I would like to know how much time it generally takes for derivative I-485 approval .

I applied for H -1 extension regular processing in the month of sept 2009 in california service centre before expiration date of my H1-B(2010 Jan 22).I got RFE on DEC 18th asking for client and contractual agreements between client and vendors and i got time til Jan 29th 2010 to reply back to RFE.As i was preparing to collect all the documents to respond to my RFE ,I also applied new H 1 from same existing employer before Jan22nd 2010 in Vermont service centre.I replied back to RFE on jan 27th 2010 with client letters and letters from 2 vendors.
I got my H 1-b extension approved from California service centre on Feb 18th 2010

My question is what if my new H1 filed in vermont service centre gets rejected.Will it cause any problems to the extension that was approved.I already got my h1-b extension approval notice from uscis on FEB 18th 2010.I have'nt heard anything about my new h1 b filed on jan 21 2010 in vermont service centre.Can i continue to work on my approved extension.
Please advice me

I have applied EAD for my wife... while applying I misspelt my wife's first name and I haven't selected any service center, seems it automatically choosen NSC... but my 485 applied under TSC and the dates here are best like May 20, 2008 and the NBC is Mar 31, 2008...

How can I correct the name, can I do it at the time of finger print?
How can I change the service center?

I already sent email to EAD Deptt... In the meanwhile, I wd like to find from many experienced people like you...
